Turn a book or story into narrated audio, chapter by chapter, and read along as it plays.

Audiobook uses one narrator. Stories gives every speaking character their own voice. You can switch any book between the two at any time.

1. Import

Open Audiobook or Stories and use the import card:

• Choose file: EPUB, Word (.docx), text or Markdown. You can also drop the file onto the card.
• Paste text: lines like Chapter 2 start a new chapter.

VoxStudio finds the chapters, and in stories, the characters who speak.

2. Cast

In the right-hand panel:

• Narrator: pick an engine and voice.
• Characters (story mode): a voice for each speaking character, or Narrator's voice. Each character has a colour, used for their lines in the reader.
• Pace: 0.7× to 1.4×.

3. Narrate

Click Narrate book. Progress shows at the top, and you can Pause at any time.

• Each chapter's dot turns green when it's narrated, or orange if you change its text or voices afterwards.
• Narrate the rest continues where it stopped, including after quitting the app.
• You can narrate just one chapter from its page.

4. Read along

Select a chapter and press ▶ in the player bar. The sentence being read is highlighted and scrolls into view. Click any sentence to jump to it. ⏮ ⏭ move between chapters.

5. Export

Once every chapter is narrated:

• M4B: a single audiobook file with chapter markers, for Apple Books and most audiobook apps.
• MP3: a single file for any player.

The first click creates the file (watch Activity); click again to save it.
